All In One PCs Next On Samsung's List?
Samsung has used their 2010 European Forum in Vienna as a platform to introduce some of the company’s plans for the year ahead. Many of those announcements have been fascinating, with news of Samsung’s impending entry into the 3D television market stealing the show.
The buzz surrounding that announcement caused other news to fly under the radar. One such item was Samsung’s plans to integrate its all-in-one PC into the European market. The DM-U200 on display generated a great deal of excitement with the crowd. Samsung has been selling this all-in-one PC model in Japan and suggested that the European model would share the same platform and many of this model’s qualities.
The model that Samsung had on display in Vienna, specifically the DM-U200-PA05A, is an impressive machine. It has a gorgeous 1600 x 900 display and Samsung has built it around the Intel Pentium T400 dual-core processor. It also has 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard disk, 802.11n wireless networking, and Gigabit Ethernet. Nvidia’s powerful GeForce G310M chipset handles the graphics processing.
Interestingly, Samsung chose not to include this news in any of its official press releases or exhibitions. When media questioned Samsung representatives about the news, they were unable to provide further details.
